Refund policy
At Tazai, every jar carries food sourced directly from the hills of the Northeast, and we want it to reach you in the condition it left us. Because we sell perishable and consumable food products, the way we handle returns is a little different from other shops, and we want to be upfront about it.
Perishable and food items
For food safety and hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds on food products once they have been delivered, opened, or consumed. This includes our chillies, honey, and other edible goods. This is standard practice for food sold for consumption and protects every customer who orders from us.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect orders
If your order arrives damaged in transit, leaking, spoiled, or you received the wrong item, we will absolutely make it right. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the affected item and its packaging. Once we confirm the issue, we will send a replacement or issue a full refund, whichever you prefer. You will not be asked to ship anything back to us.
Order cancellations
If you need to cancel or change an order, reach out as soon as possible. We can usually adjust or cancel an order before it has been packed and shipped. Once an order is on its way, it can no longer be cancelled, but the damaged or incorrect order terms above still apply.

We are a small brand still finding our feet, and our goal is for you to feel good about every order. If something is not right, tell us, and we will do our best to fix it fairly.
